How much torque on 360 head and intake bolts? and pattern...
Hey guys,
I am putting reworked heads on my 360. I need to know how much to
torque my head bolts and intake bolts. Also,
Do I need to torque my rocker arm nuts? Do I need to adjust them while engine running or just torque them down.
Thanks,
Peyton
P.S. you start on one thing and it opens up a whole can of
worms....:-)

Cylinder heads in sequence first to 70FP, then 80fFP and final to 90FP. Start in the center of the head with the center bolts, alternating front to rear. Or from the center of the head towards the end. The intake is also torqued in sequence from the center to the four corners, then to the intermediate bolts. Final torque is 35FP. If you are not comfortable with this text I suggest you get a repair manual or buy the book Building Big Block ford Engines by Steve Christ.
