Darren, I don't know if you remember but, I tried to get one together for the LI,ers.
Many months leeway with an open summer calendar. I think I got two maybe's in all that time.

 

Things for me have been extremly hectic this entire summer. It was so bad that I ended up telling my wife that I needed a 'me' weekend to do what ever the heck I wanted to do. It was like a 'mini vacation', got together with my 3 brother in-laws and went to play golf and knocked back numerous beers in the process.

Anyways it would be great to get together and meet other members of this chapter (and others... ****HINT, HINT soong, philly steak sandwhiches****) seeing that I was unable to make the Letchworth one.

**BRAINSTORMING** I am not sure, but I would think that something here in the Finger Lakes region would be a possible good meeting place seeing that it is in the center of the state. Fall is a pretty time of the year for a drive to look at the foliage.

Letchworth ????? as Darren suggested to get a different pespective ?????? For example, we could meet at the Mt. Morris dam and then tour the park as a group and stop for a picnic at one of the areas.

Many people have this vision of New York being, one big Manhattan.
I love 4 wheelin Fire Island, camping on the beach, and fishing.

 

were is fire island never heard of it ,

 

It's a very long stretch of beach on the ocean side of Long Island.

 

The problem is way two many people associate NYC with NY. let me tell you they are two completely different places. you get out to places like western and northern NY and its nothing like NYC. hell ive lived in western NY my entire life and have never once gone to NYC nor do i want to its way to over crowded there i dont like the city. plus its like 7 hrs away from me. the closest city to me of any size is rochester NY and thats an hour north of me. and we have elmira/corning but thats also about an hour south of me right by the PA border. i live in a little town just south of dansville NY. are there any members close to me?

 

i live in Attica. thats maybe 45 minutes away i think
