Oil Leak

Just a quick question regarding a new oil leak. I installed the CCV Mod using the clear hose and routed according to the directions I found here. I ran the engine and saw the crankcase vapors coming from the end of the hose. So no resitrictions. However, several days later I spoted an oil leak under the oil pan. Upon checking it out I have a leak where the oil dipstick tube enters the pan. Does anyone think this is a problem with the ccv mod or just coincidence? Thanks for your replies
Jeff

Update: I just spoke to the parts guy at Ford. He said that there are two "O" rings for this fitting on the oil pan. He also stated that the engine has to be removed to replace the "O" rings because there is a nut on the inside of the pan and that the pan can not be removed with the engine in the compartment. Has any one has this problem. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Seems like a big job to replace $8.00 in "O" rings!

Someone here did recently have the same leak. I cannot remember how they went about repairing it but I do remember that it was very tricky because if you make a mistake the fitting falls off and into the oil pan. I will try and search back for it and see if I can find it. It was about 2 months ago.

And here is the one that I was referring to earlier:

Thanks for info Scott....I'll get some of the sealer and get her sealed. I called IH and they have the "O" rings for .58 cents each! Ford wanted $4.75 each!! What a rip! It is sure good to have this site for reference and help. Thanks Again

Here's the thread I started showing how to use the Intl kit. It's still holding strong with no leaks.

Thanks for the thread......By the way after I last wrote, I went outside and grabbed some tools and went under the truck and sure enough I was able to tighten down the nut. I then cleaned up the area and added oil to the crankcase. I'll keep an eye on it and if springs a leak again.....I'll be completing the repair. Thanks Again
