Can I and how do you turn a 360 into a 390!!!!!!!
I have heard that you can make a 360 into a 390. Is this true and how. I currently have a 75 390 and i beileve that the block is shot. I have not pulled it yet. I think that I threw a rod cap because I have a few dents in the oil pan and oil and water leaking out of it now. I think that the block is cracked. I also have a 76 360 that i was told was a 390 until I pulled it out of the truck and saw the 360 sticker on the valve cover. Is there a way to make a 390 out of the 360 to get more power out of it for pulling a horse trailer. How is a 360? I heard that they are puuches compared to a 390. Or should I just rebuild the 360 and drop it in place of the 390? Any help would be greatly needed.

This subject has been discussed over and over and over again on this board, including some in great detail very recently. The short answer is yes -- you can easily convert a 360 into a 390. For details, read some of the many threads on the topic that are already in this forum.
