1993 F150 4x4 automatic locking hubs

I am trying to pull front hubs so I can repack wheel bearings and am having problems removing c-washer from stub shaft.I have tried snap ring,c-clip pliers and am wondering if it takes a special pliers and where I can get a pair? The local parts suppliers dont carry them.Any tips & advice is greatly appreciated!

Talking

.........first off; WELCOME to the FTE forum, rain ryder...... ......

....to give ya so insight of help, click over onto my Gallery-O-Album's and check out the album dealing with the 4x4 auto-hub's and you can see for WHAT tool's i used to tear down and re-assenbled with......{ i know i have a different year of this and all, But, the BASIC's of dealing with these "Auto" hub's should be pretty much the same...} . . . . are you referring to the " half-C_clip " ???? if so, i had a tuff time of removing for the driver's side at first, but i Grabb'd a hold of the shaft for what the clip was in the groove of and just gave it a yank or two and got just enough free_space for the "C" clip was easy enough to just pop - off/out with my pick-tool........hopefully i am NOT barking up the wrong tree for info to ya on this & hopefully this help'd out............again, Welcome to the forum and keep us posted and all for also giving ya help further.......
