Fresh rebuild on a 351W blowing oil out of the rear - help please!!
#16
You all are gonna just love this one the machine shop replaced the gallery plugs I did check them and they were tight, when I dropped the transmission this weekend I found they had put a Heli-coil in one of the plug holes and if that wasn't good enough they drilled out the hole but didn't thread it they just shoved a Heli-coil in the hole so when the pressure came up it popped out!!! I am so happy I tell you. I cut new threads and picked up an oversized plug now I just have to put the tranny back up. As well as go have a word with Stroker(machine shop) tomorrow!!!

I think I'm good it only lost a quart of oils before I shut it down and used a magnetic bottom tap then cycled the oil for about 10 minutes and dumped it and the filter and put some fresh oil in it. then it rained all day so I couldn't get the tranny back up, hopfully it will be nice tomorrow.
