As far as I know the intake is designed towards hight torque and the smallish valves also contibute to higher torque. I think you could boost torque by installing an RV camshaft. Check it out with the camshaft companies and see what to expect. Maybe worth it, maybe not.
Wouldn't it be the case that a big boost in low end torque would also come with a reduction in rpm for peak horsepower. I.e, wouldn't you basically lowere the powerband in the rpm range.
