Injector Question

Getting ready to do head gaskets & studs and going to replace all my injectors while I'm in there. Do all the needed o-rings come with the injectors? I ordered motorcraft injectors from Tousley and it looks like they have two o-rings unstalled on the injectors. Parts guy said they come with necessary o-rings, but I want to make sure before I get in there. Thanks in advance for your help.

why replace all injectors? are they all bad? have you checked the ficm for correct voltage to the injectors? the o ring sets from ford are about 5 bucks each iirc. you have any codes that would lead you to replace ALL injectors?? I dont believe i have ever read on here that all injectors were bad. most likely the injector is not the root cause of an issue

Yes, the injectors come ready to install. Black goes on top, white on bottom, copper sealing washer on the nozzle.

As stated above they come ready to install.

IMO, your doing the right thing. I always try to replace injectors in a set. Well I shouldn't say always. Just depends on the situation, but most of the time I recomend doing all 8 at once.

How many miles are on your current injectors? They were designed to go 250,000 miles. I would get some sort of fuel pressure monitoring solution and do the fuel pressure regulator blue spring upgrade.

Thanks for thre replies. Its one of those things where I was pretty sure I was right, but wanted to put my mind at ease.

I have 170,000 on the truck, monitor fuel pressure, have the blue spring upgrade, FICM voltage is fine and have two bad injectors with a third showing signs of going out. I see no reason not to go ahead and replace the all the injectors while I am in there. I really don't want to have to tear into this engine again for a while if I can help it.
