How to adjust dwell?

Coming from the ranks of another car manufacturer,

? I need to know how to adjust the dwell on a Ford F-100 360.
The other distributors had a trap door to allow access with an allen wrench.

Well you will need to pop the cap off and there will be two screws holding the points.. one end will be slotted and the other is not you will need to loosen both screws and at the slotted there will be a place for a screwdriver to increase or decrease the point gap you will see what I`m taking about once your in there.

I thought that was just the gap and that the dwell had a different adjustment.???

One and the same. I think more gap equalls more dwell. Or more gap = less dwell. Points should be set at .017", or 29-31 degrees dwell.
