Tailgate for F-250

Hey all- I hope I'm posting in the right spot, so here goes. I got a "new" old F-250 from a buddy. It runs great. The only thing is, the tailgate was being held on with bungee cords! Another buddy and I took it completely off and noticed that all the guts for it are trashed. I need a replacement for it, but once I started calling junkyards and other auto places, nobody had one! So, I'm wondering what I should do now. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

You should get the "guts" the shells go for $2-300 without guts. I think you can use the parts out of a F150, or you can order new from Ford.
