nope it wont work but finding a 4wd 302 pan should be plenty easy and not very spendy. check all the local yards and if nothing comes up check out ebay i see lots on there as well.

90 Lincoln MK VII is not speed density- it's mass air. My donor was an '89 MK VII, and it was mass air. Don't know if this makes any difference- probably not if you are keeping the truck injection and just using the Lincoln block.

Sorry- I forgot that we had taken the harness and computer out of a Mustang and put it on the Lincoln block.

I know that when you run a manual transmission, car and truck flywheels are different diameters. IF the same goes for flexplates, you're going to have to run your truck flexplate on the 302HO. Now, IIRC the 1986 f-150 uses a 28oz flexplate while the 302 HO uses a 50oz flexplate. This means IF the flexplates are different diameters, you'll have to find a 50oz flywheel that fits the truck transmission.

BUT, if the HO flexplate and the 302 flexplate are the same tooth count, ignore everything i've put up here.

Just figured i'd give you a heads up since i know a guy that put a 28oz truck flywheel on a 302 HO and promptly wiped all of the bearings out of it.

Justin
How promptly did he wipe all the bearings out of it because i think that's exactly what i've done (put a 28 oz on i mean) on the 1980 302 i've just put into my 79. the mechanic that i had time it (that's how i found out it's got a 302 ho cam in it because he figured out the firing order) and when he got it running he said it needed a different flexplate but he didn't know which one and that it would be ok to drive it the five miles from his shop to my parents house to change the flexplate myself since he's going on extended vacation for the holidays...... you think five miles at low speeds (like around 40, it was worst at about 1200 rpms and smoothed out above that) is enough to destroy the dumb thing?
