is this odd?

i live down by NYC but i have a house up in Deposit NY. My wife and i went up there this long holiday weekend and we noticed that there was a decent amount of trees turning and leaves falling. I thought that this was kind of odd as it is about three weeks early..Anyone else notice this? Am i nuts?
tell ya what tho it was a gorgeous weekend!

Same here. I'm guessing it's from lack of rain.

lack of rain lately up here and pretty cold nights. this isn't extraordinary. odd yeah, but i've been in the valley(Mohawk) closing up the house, ready to go back north, and some of the soft maples are turning in the tops.
