My bone stock 03 XL has manual side mirrors and are a real pain when switching drivers. I’d like to put on stock style power mirrors. Has anyone done it? Is the wiring harness in the door by chance. Plan was to get everything from a wrecker.

 

The harness is probably in the door, it only takes a few screws to pull the panel off and check to make sure though. Whether or not the harness for the switch would be there is a different story though.

 

Common sense would suggest they would use the same basic harness in all the trucks and the plug for the mirrors should be inside the door but I’ve learnt to expect the unexpected from auto manufacturers. I’ll take the panel off someday and take a peek. If the main harness / power is there and as simple as inserting a fuse to power it up, I should be able to pick up the mirrors, switch and any supplementary harness from a wrecker.
