"Chuck Wagon"

My dad is re-building a chuck wagon. I heard about another camper/wheeler that has a chuck wagon style camp box in his rig. I am thinking about the same kind of thing... If you where going to buid one, How would you do it... Lots of drawers? One big box? Just fishing for ideas.

Yup just like a chuck wagon or Koozy box. One box with lots of drawers. Larry sleeps in the back of his SUV so he builds one for one side and leave the other side empty for his sleeping bag.

OHHHHH!!!! I remeber an article from one of my boys life mags (back when they where printed on a guttenburg press, on buffalo hide) How to make a camp kitchen. It was a chuck wagon style box, but had a front that held all the drawers in, and the front came down like a tailgate... so it was a cook table, or food prep station... or a good place to set a lantern. Wonder if I could find such a thing again? Maybe can find that issue, maybe there is a web site for scouting where I can find it?.

Short story: Duane and I where talking about camping and making Omlettes in ziplock bags he said "didn't you pay attention in Boy Scouts" I said "yes but they didn't have ziplock bags then" He thought it was a riot.

nah, mix up your omelet and pour it into the ziplock, then drop it in a pot of boiling water.

Even though I wasn't in Scouts, I did get Boys Life when I was a kid. I'm older than Flip so as you might guess, back then it was on a scroll made of parchment. lol. Back then plastic had barely been invented. We didn't have zip lock or plastic sandwich bags. We just had wax paper to wrap sandwiches in, but it was really good for greasing up the slippery slide on the play ground. woohoo!!!
