Unhappy Distributor Cap Clips ...

I have a rebuilt Y-block all ready to go into my '60. However, one of the clips that holds the cap on the distributor is busted. I ordered a pair from Dennis Carpenter, but alas, they're too short. Anyone want to sell any spares for the '57+ distributor?

I already tried in the Y-block forum, but got no replies.

Is there any way to measure the clip you need? I have a couple of old flathead dizzys, they might be the same.

I already checked the clips on the 8BA distributor I have lying around. They came up short. I'll measure the clip I have, just in case the flathead clips vary in length.

It's about 2 1/2" long, end to end.

8BA's are exactly what I have... good luck! If you go to a boneyard, you could surely find one close enough.

The boneyard comes through in a pinch! They managed to dig one up for me.

Around here, I didn't expect them to have it. Their selection of old stuff is pretty miserable. Thanks for the idea.
