352 compatibility

I just bought a 54 f100 that has a 352 engine in it. I know the bore and stroke are the same for both the 352 and the 351 Cleveland, but how compatible are these engines? I know the 352 is an FE engine, but will parts interchange between the 352 and the 351C? I'm trying to determine the best route on this rebuild, and I can't figure out whether or not to work with what I've got, or try and find another engine. Thanks!

None, nada, nothing at all interchanges except maybe the carb. Totally different engine families. The 352 is an FE and the 351 is a 335 series. They,re from different eras even.

Alright, gotcha. Do you think I would be better off trying to restore the 352 I've got? That is, are the parts easily available, or would I be better off just trying to rebuild a whole different engine that is more popular?

352 parts are very readily available and easy to find. If your engine is decent as is a little cleanup machine work and a rebuild kit.

Wow, if you have a 1954 F100 with a 352 in it, it has already had a heart transplant. 352 engines didn't appear until 1958 or 59 in cars, and a bit later in trucks!

The 352 would be a great build. As was mentioned before, nothing between the 352 and any 351 will interchange.
