Fuelman

Thats a ground! For the purple/Yellow wire Not power.
Also the break will work only after the downshift from OD due to the coast clutch engauges. No CC in OD.

I just got copies of the wiring schematic at the ford garage and that is the tcc wire circuit 480.I went to dealer to double check BDTorque Lock directions. That's the one that gets power supplied to activate tc.

CKT #480 P/Y is a ground signal from the PCM to the TCC.
CKT #361 R is the power supply from the PCM relay to the trans solenoid Pack.

Can you post schematic? Or link?

i'll have to see if I scan it when I get home.If i'm wrong then do u ground 480 to activate the tc.Honestly I was double checking BD to make sure I got correct wire to tap.I guess the bd unit could be grounding the circuit. The pages I copied show wiring between pcm and trans switch.I assumed that power was directed to the tc,most auto circuits aren't grounding activated.

Correct.
If you ground ckt #480 P/Y it will lock the tc.
Also usage of this method can store a code and flash the OD lamp.

Just called BD they verified it is a grounding circuit Thanks Madvan for stepping in next time I won't assume it's always positive activation.

Are you using your epvbrake downhill with load and high RPM (od off or 3th gear)? If not I dont listen any sound unloaded and in a flat road. Maybe it helps you.

No, it simply increases the exhaust backpressure so the heat from the exhaust stays in te engine longer.
