Question injector problems

I have just started to check out the problems I might have with this new fuel. I run a 7.3 PS 2002. Has anyone had trouble with the new fuel and injectors. I was told it didn't lub the injectors as well and caused them to fail.
Someone said to add a little trane oil to the fuel helped.. ??
Whats the true story.

15ppm #2? You shouldn't notice much of a difference between it and the old stuff. It's supposed to have lubricity additives to make up for the lost sulfur.

If you want to be safe add Diesel Kleen or Stanadyne to your fuel.
Buy DK at Walmart.

Better yet run BioDiesel. almost any blend will get adequate lubricity

Cookie, when I was running across the country I really truly could hear the difference in the fuel on my engine. It may have been the different areas of the country and how the fuel is treated for weather or maybe quality. But I will say that I listened to a number of conversations on the CB about complaints in that area.

When I have to burn #2 diesel, I add 1 ounce of 2 cycle oil per gallon of fuel.

FWIW, after reading the MSDS, I think Diesel Kleen is worthless for lubrication.

I wish I could give you a link to MoparMans 2 cycle oil web page, but I read that big oil has forced his web site to close down. Do a Google search on MoparMan and you may be able to find threads in other forums as well as here discussing the use of 2 cycle oil as an additive for ULSD
