Drive shaft carrier bearing replacement
I started to pull the drive shaft to do the carrier bearing today and found that I have to remive the yoke at the ennd of the forward shaft I can not get this to move it won't budge I was wondering if auy one knew it it has right or left handed threads I beleive that it is right handed I just need more *** to get it to move any help would be great

You dont have to remove the yolk at the end of the front shaft. Lift the truck, unbolt the center carrier and push down and to the pass side out. Its also even easier to unbolt the rear ujoint. Remember the front weights and the rear weights next to the carrier are aligned up. Use chalk or crayon if you want to make it easier for reassembly. Put a can under the tranny to catch any fluid.

maybe I explained this wrong The forward section of the rear drive shaft is bolted with like 4 bolts at the ujoint that part is no problem the rear section of the forward shaft has a yoke attached to and is bolted with a large 1 and 5/8ths nut this is the the nut that I can't seam to get off to reomve the carrier bearing this has to be removed iaw the ford manual
