well, alot has been going on

so its been awhile...... i have started school and i had been busy as hell. so here are the updates:

1. i ran a demo car in the local demo derby, that was very time consuming and i had multiple problems getting there. engine locked up a week before the derby and sent me for another motor.

2. my ranger, jesus this poor truck. i was having a hell of a chatter when i braked and some series brake drag. so i took the truck to a shop in manhattan for a brake inspection. they call me and say some see this. when i arrive they hand me a box with brake parts in it. it contained broken springs, adjustors and lots of brake shoe parts. i dont know how my enemy managed to get a grenade into my brake drum (ON BOTH SIDES?!?!). so i asked when it would cost to fix everything. they say oh no big deal, $900 ought to cover it. so i said, screw that and brought it home. i bought all the parts and did it in my driveway in 2 hours for under 200. all i needed was a dang screw driver and a pliers. thats awesome. (thought i might have to call husker).

3. so we added a new member to the family. dad bought a 00 f350 today with 100k. he needed a new truck so bad it wasnt even funny. so now we own like 10 trucks.

oh, and the neon is still running great. we also picked up a half ton 4x2 dodge truck for my youngest brother to drive. the price was right at free, so we took it.

That one looks like a keeper Matt! $900 for a rear brake job?? You did the right thing and hauled it home. Once you've done one you'll always know how to do it.

Nice looking Super Duty, Matt. What engine does it have in it? I couldn't tell from the pics. Your dad will really be getting spoiled now. Next thing you know he will be driving around all the time in clean clothes like a farm manager or cattle buyer. LOL

I should do OK, just won't break any speed records. Just look over the years at all the folks that have pulled goose neck livestock trailers with a 1/2 ton with a 302 or 300 six.
