Fuel Mileage?

I have a new 08 6.4L Twin Turbo Power Stroke Diesel 4X4, stock! I currently have 9500 miles on it and my fuel mileage is getting worse with each tank?? In the city I am getting 9.0 miles per gallon and 12 on the highway......anyone have any similar issues and or answers?? The dealers have no answers at all, especially after you have already paid for the truck.........Thanks,

Jason

I am having the same problem. I have an '08 F250 shortbed and am getting about 9 miles around town and when I tow my toyhauler, I'm getting between 7-8 miles. What to do ?

Is anyone getting a loud turbo whine when going up grades. I tow a 35' toyhauler (weighs about 12,000 lbs) and when I go up any significant grade, the whine gets pretty loud and the turbo gauge stays just below 4.

Driving habits is a direct result of fuel mileage. Lighten up on the go pedal. I'm getting 17.1 70/30 highway/city on my second tank of fuel.F350 fx4 cc lwb 3.73 rear.looking forward to breaking it in and getting more mpg. I only have just over a 1000 miles

rowe expect high boost towing that much up a grade. That is normal. The whine is probably the turbos with all that boost.

The noise could also be the clutch on the fan motor. When you pull 'er hard, the fan motor speeds up, and makes alot of racket. Turbo whine sounds good, this just sounds noisy.

i have driven my truck with a light foot, get 10 around town, no more than 12.8 on highway. milage seems to be getting worse. have 08 f350 4x4 cc srw auto 3.73. even used fords fuel supp for ulsd. no help in milage. truck also has a hesitation from stop and if accelerating hard to pass. dealer put on computer said fine and sent me on my way. maybe 2000 more miles and i will be down to 8mpg city, and 10 hwy. my old 03 6.0l got 16 city, 18-20 hwy. wish i had the motor back, not the truck.
