Sounds like one off a 50`s/60`s F800/900/1000 or possibly a Ford semi power unit.
Off hand I can`t find a picture of one right now.

No clue on cost, but I have seen pics and fomoco is correct. They were on really big trucks.

I always wanted to transplant a 72 gran torino sport hood scoop onto my old ranger, but never found one before the crusher got it.

Here is one on ebay. As a bonus you get a realy cool truck along with it! Item # 190144017233 . The hood scoop is a part I may remanufactur in the future. I understand that Ford used them on the '56 F-700 and larger trucks and up into the sixtys. Pontiac used the same scoop on a car in the sixtys but I dont know the model.

check my gallery, i think its under ram air or something. It came off of a 56 T-750 Cement truck. I got the whole setup, the scoop, the airbox, etc. I really want to put it on an F100.

Good luck finding one, the 53-56 big job scoop is a very rare, hard to find scoop. I seen one go on ebay about a year ago go for over 500.00. It was luck that I found the one for my 56. Having one of these on your truck sets you apart from the rest. Mark
