Front end work, need some tips!

Hey fellas -

I'm going to be workin on my friends 96 explorer sport. I'm replacing ball joints Upper and lower both sides, the rack and pinion (not sure about this) and also the Powersteering pump. I got the PS pump and ball joints down, I'm mostly worried about the rack and pinion as I have not worked on them before. So any tips would be very helpful!! Thanks guys!

Well got the ball joints done today... now for the rack and pinon, has anyone changed one of these?

no i got new control arms... all the work is now done. easy but time consuming!
