I am in the middle of a dispute resolution with the BBB and Ford as we speak. I was lied to multiple times when I purchased my 08 F250 6.4L 4x4 CC 3.73. I was told it would get the same or better as what I was getting in my 2006, which was 17 or 18 mpg pretty much all the time, HWY or CITY. I am now getting 9.5 CITY and 11.5-12.0 HWY if I'm lucky and this to me is absolutley crazy. I've got almost 8000 miles on the truck, I was also told that after 5000 the MPG would increase grealty and all that other crap...and come to find out that is a lie, so anyone else who has been told that, I hate to tell ya, but you've been lied to. Called ford and fought with them and finally got the BBB involved and I'm supposed to be going to a hearing soon (haven't got the exact date yet). What I need from you guys is just a simple post on this thread about your trucks configuration and what MPG you get HWY and CITY. This should be unloaded and not towing anything. Any help you guys can offer would be great.

Thanks Again,
Brian
29,000 miles 250.
At 65 mph I get 18 mpg. At 75 mph I get 15 mpg. 8 intown, empty. 10 owing my 13000lb trailer with my jeep wragler behind at 75mph. ot to bad for a 3/4 ton. Not as good as my 19to 20 hwy on my 7.3. If gas was still $2.00 a gallon I don't think everyone would be complaining. Your first mistake was to take a salesman for his word. If it dosn't have it on the sticker than they are smart enough not to document the lie. Ford dosn't care about your milage, they already have your money. Sorry that your dissapointed.

stock 2008 f-350 crew cab lond box single wheel, 20" wheels, auto 4x4.
have 32000 miles on it since last march. first week I had it it got 17-19mpg hwy 65-70. then started going down. stopped around 11mpg hwy, 10mpg or less in town, town/ hwy combo 10.5 -11mpg.

added banks DPF back exaust in late may gained 3mpg around town, and closer 5mpg on the hwy, but it has since dropped again back down to 10 - 11mpg hwy.

milage has been dropping since the day i bought it, ( a side note it also goes into active re-gen about every 100 - 200 miles and has almost now power. but ford has looked at it at least 12-15 times and says there is absolutly nothing wrong.)

all of the above is empty.

loaded ( 5,000- 16,000 lbs) it gets 6 -7.5 mpg this part really blows

Loaded with SCT DPF delete and new 1.22 tune. With this new tune I'm getting 21 mpg @ 75 mph, 23 mpg @ 70mph, and 27 mpg @ 65.

Almost looks like someone selling chips resurected a year old post. Check the dates. Come on chippers, start a new thread, and let us save the history, as we know the 6.4 is not a hybrid!

If it is not phony, why didn't someone start a new post. Go to page one of this post. It started in AUGUST OF 2007. The second page miracuously becomes August 2008. I just hope the braggards with alleged 21 to 24 mpg fuel consumption on a 6.4 also post and brag when the FED catches them and gives them a consfiscation fine.

I enjoy this forum and rules attached, but I truly do not understand how advertisements for a totally illegal change to the 6.4 ENGINE are allowed and proliferate.

The power is unbelievable and driveability is way better. Climbing hills that used to take 10-15lbs of boost are now only taking 5-10 lbs. I probably wouldn't believe it either if I wasn't seeing it for myself. I really have no reason to lie about it if the mileage wasn't there I would say.

If you have the cujones to void a 100,000 mile warranty. If you have the cujones to take a chance that you could be fined $10,000. If you knowingly make changes that could cause confiscation of your vehicle. Obviously you should write poetry about mattress labels because you are above the law. Oh, to give you an honest answer, the labels on a king size pillow top mattress carry a 10 year warranty. In our homes we have three King size pillow top mattresses. Two of the mattresses failed over the last 12 years and have been replaced under full warranty, Oh, just by following the rules! (P. S. the last mattress purchased in February of this year cost $1,700.00 delivered)

I did start a new thread "SCT 1.22 OUT". Says the exact thing I stated in this thread.

Hmmmmmmmm

I guess I just don't understand you young folks. Got the F250 6.4 I get 14-17 locale driving all the time , on the highway I can see 19.4 at 68 mph. DOn't understand what I'm doing or you are not doing to get this mileage. But I know from reading many forums that this spending bunches of money for tuners etc ain't helping many of you.
Guess this senior citizen will just continue hauling a** and get my stock F250 down the highway with the mileage I get. By the way, when I pull my TT, 6950 # at 65 mph I consistantly get 12-14 MPG. No BS, ALL hand cal'ed. So guys you just spend your hard earned money on all them tuners and such and continue getting your lousy mileage. Just my opinion..... YOu may now trash me......

Here, here, hear!

ME TOO! I knew when I bot a new F-350 dually, long bed,4 x 4, KR, that the mileage would suck. It does. Maybe a little worse than expected, but when I want to pull either trailer I own, it is safe, excellent braking, triple the power I would need, run up the mountains in either VA or PA, and know if I have a problem I can call FORD service for repairs. That's what I bot my truck for, and I have to agree with larrygranny1, so be it.
