Took my 2001 F150 super crew to the local oil change shop. They said I need a fluid change in the rear differential. I've done this before and It's not that difficult (it was on a '67 mustang). So I crawled under my rig and can't locate a drain hole at the bottom of the differential. can someone help shed some light on how I'm supposed to drain this old fluid? Pics would be most helpful if available.

Have had three of these trucks and it is necessary to SUCK the fluid out the fill hole, otherwise remove the rear cover, you can get nearly all out with suction gun. Note: if it has off road package it has full synthetic gear lube and should be replaced with same.It is indeed a good thing to replace the fluid at around 10,000 miles to get the grindings out from wear in. Also a good time for full synthetic in the transmission and front end and transfercase. rk
