if nothing is wrong with your tranny then i recommend my mod, if you have issues and need to do a teardown then i suggest a 4r100 foreward planetary and the valve body from.......somebody will chime in i cant remember the name but its about $250 or so, a good converter and you'll be set for quite a while

bts= brians truck shop, he seems to have a good rep around here for the most part and i have several articles on him in my diesel power magizines. i do my own so i dont know too much on where to buy a unit from, i cant put a hp number on the e4od limit but mine has taken a ton of abuse with big tires, offroading and towing and has plenty of miles to prove it, my old truck was a gasser but a built 460 at that and it took years of abuse and only broke once(foreward planetay) and that was because i had a 76 high boy that was dead hooked on a chain and literaly 4-wheeled up a mountain with it tied to me, in my opinion that was all the trial i needed to prove e40d's are built tough.

If you are doing your own rebuild check this place for parts:

BTS is the way to go for big HP, reliable trannys, but pricey. The warranty is very good according what I've read here, don;t know personally, I had mine rebuilt by a buddy.
