stereo question

i am getting my wife an xlt and was curious what size and location of the audiophile sub is. Im planning on building a system for it but was trying to "hide" everything. We will be getting an xlt el 4x4 rear power seats and some other goodies. thanks in advance.

It is a 8" sub located behind the rear cargo panel on the driver side. It has it's own plastic enclosure and amp. Other than removing it and making a custom box, I am not aware of any prefab stealth enclosures for the 07. The older Expys had some from Q-logic and MTX.

I've been meaning to take a picture of the audiophile sub that I removed from my 07 EL, but I just haven't gotten around to it yet. If I remember tomorrow, I'll get the photos taken and post them up.

If you take a look at the other thread about the stereo upgrade, I posted pics of my amp install that is hidden where the oem sub was. I doubt you'd be able to make room in there for an aftermarket sub though.

They have nice everything. My f-350 has 4 9kv.2 in it. blew my old amp and am getting a 9.1 for it. so if i do it all together it will be cheaper as a package.
