4" Exhaust Benefit?

4" Exhaust Benefit?
I have an '06 F-250 CC, 4X4, 6.0l PSD.
On my stock exhaust, I have deleted the cat and put on a Pro Flo muffler which is a straight thru design.
I have an SCT Excal II street program, programed by Eric at Innovative Diesel.
I have to run it real hard to get over 1300* pre turbo EGT.
Would it benefit me to go with an aftermarket turbo back 4" exhaust?
Would I gain more power and MPG?
Thanks in advance

IMHO I wouldn't think that installing a 4" exhaust would make a large enough difference, especially in MPG and power to warrant the money that it will cost to do the mod. Like cads03 said, it might drop your EGT's some while towing because it's 1/2" larger in diameter, but I don't think that it will be a substantial difference. Maybe somebody else will chime in who's gone from the stock straight pipe to a 4" TB pipe. Let us know what you decide.

While were on the subject. I just installed a 4" Magnaflow stainless exhaust with a straight thru muffler. I eliminated the Cat. I also added a BullyDog system to enhance performance and fuel economy while towing. I towed once about 500 miles with the stock exhaust and BullyDog and increased fuel milage from 10 to 13 mpg. The BullyDog also allowed for less shifting on inclines. I am now worried about exhaust temps and have no pyrometer. Thats why I added the 4" exhaust and K&N intake. I'm thinking I should just go back to 100% stock and let the warranty cover any issues.

I understand those running without a cat had slightly better benefits than I for MPG and lower EGT.
However in British Columbia we have similar emission requirements to California and given my truck is still under warranty, the Ford people here will not touch the truck without the cat.
I am considering trying a cat delete when my warranty is up to see if there is a benefit.
