99 4.0L Upper Intake & EGR

Hi,

We have a 99 Ranger 4.0L and I am trying to remove the intake manifold. Everything is loose but the EGR is not coming our of the plastic upper manifold.

What is holding it inside the manifold?

There are studs in the lower intake manifold which prevent moving the upper manifold away from the EGR.
