Transmission Slipping, 2004 F-250 powerstroke

Tranny has strated slipping when shifitng. It happens in all gears. Truck has 65000 miles. Bought it in Jan 2007 with 56000 miles. Never have been real happy with way it shifts and lately it is worse. I don't know if it was used for towing before I got it. I don't tow much with it. Have an appointment with the dealer for next week.

Could this be something simple like a bad solenoid or it more likely that the torque converter is toast? Do the Torqshift trannys have a history of this?

Thanks for any info!

When your transmission is slipping the first thing you should do is stop and check the fluid level.

Fluid level is on the mark. Had it changed at 62000 miles. That did not seem to make a difference.

There is a good chance that it's a solenoid problem. A good trans tech can diagnose it.
