not following exactly what you are trying to get off? the lever under the dash with the 4 eared bushing? if you are replacing all of that you pull the bolt out and pry your butt off to get the old lever out, the new one gets pulled on by the bolt going back in. the clip goes n the rod first and then slid over the lever. if you are doin somethin else please give a hair more detail as to where you are workin

good job joe. i finally got it with a long screwdriver and a bigger hammer. put the new one on and the plastic bushing. pushed in the clutch a few times and the clutch master cylinder rod and the bushing slid off. uh oh i just figured out where i messed up. is the plastic bushing supposed to go through the clutch lever and the clutch master rod?

i finally got it off. i put the new stuff on and pushed in the clutch a few times and the bushing and clutch master rod slid off the clutch lever. what would cause this? right now i have it jury rigged with zip ties, but the bushing already broke again so i'm going to drive it until i can order the ebay bushing replacement.

I'm a little confused too. I bought my truck with a broken plastic master cylinder rod end, so I had to replace the whole hydraulic setup. I snapped the little 4 ear plastic bushing into the master pushrod eye, then snapped that bushing/rod end onto the clutch pedal linkage end. The bushing snapped into the groove on the end of the linkage rod, I didn't have any nuts/bolts to mess with. Maybe mine is different or is missing parts?

hmmm. well RubberDuck gave me a good idea last night. instead of using zip ties to hold it together i'm going to drill a hole through the pin on the clutch lever and put a pin through it to hold everything in place. then once i can get the ebay bushing i will get that to try to fix the problem better.
