Nitrous for the 'Ten?

I was just daydreaming and thinking about a nitrous equipped V-10. Would be so nice for those long stretches of sugar sand, and gooey bottomless mud...not to mention blowing the doors off almost anything at the stoplights. Anyone see any reason nitrous should not be added to a V-10? Just wondering...

Amen on the "grin".

I'm pretty sure there are some systems out there that will work. When I had my truck dyno'd in Dallas, the speed/dyno shop owner mentioned that I needed a little "gas". Seems that NO2 is one of their specialties. [link:www.txspeedworks.com|TX SpeedWORKS] They are some real nice guys- I bet they'd help you pick out a system.

Oooh god, see now you've got it in my mind that I NEED a nitrous system. Time to do some creative budgeting (aka not paying some of the bloodsucking money hungry *******s), and we'll see. This board is a double edged sword! Gets me the latest and best info and fixes, but at the same time puts evil thoughts about pulling up next to 'Stangs and Camaros (heck maybe even a Vette?), and letting them see how quickly I can hit the speed limiter

Wow! I'm shocked (you need NOS) that you would think that we here at FTE (you need NOS) would ever put anyone up to any kind of (you need NOS) upgrade. That's just not the kind of (you need NOS) people we are. And to imply that any kind of law-breaking (you need NOS) is acceptable is even more shocking (you need NOS). Before long, we'll be accused of planting subliminal (you need NOS) messages in our posts (you need NOS) just to get you in trouble (you need NOS).

NoMo, your subliminal messages are too little too late...last night I had a freaking dream about having nitrous in my truck, god it was sweet. I did the whole bit in my dream! Turning on the bottle warmer, arming the system, pulling next to a Vette, purging the lines (purge line coming out of the 0 on the V-10 emblem), waiting for the green and smoking it outta there. Ahhh...I gotta change my sheets now.

I have a 5spd manual. I don't think I could keep up with a nitro injection. I can barely shift it fast enough to keep up with the stock hp. And the implication that you could beat a stang and not a vette! Shame on you. I have a 65 Fastback that hasn't lost to a vette yet.

nitrous in a v10 sounds pretty sweet! ive pondered the idea in my 5.4. i am pretty sure that the bottom end will hold up to it also. 6 bolt mains with cross bolts!!! thats gotta stand up to alot! anyhow, im still thinkin bout it someday.
