im new to this forum so is ken a user of this page or what? what can "ken" do for me? id like to get a chip for my 2002 V-10 but i dont know who to get it from, how much itll cost or what the HP and TORQUE boosts will be. HELP ME !!! ???

What are you looking for? Better towing, more performance, the ability to go back to stock, dual 87/93 octane?

I'm new here also and have a few Q's about performance chips.

I have a new 2002 F-250 CC 4x4 with a V-10. I previously had a 99, same truck.

I have read several forums and have not gleaned any definitive answers.

I don't do a lot of towing, but on occasion have to haul a 4 horse trailer and horses. Mostly just pull a boat or jet skis.

I would love to have more hp and better driveability although my 02 is night and day better than the 99 was. Will anything give appreciably better gas mileage?

I really don't want to get into bolting on a bunch of parts, but don't have a problem with electronics or minor bolt-on stuff.

Any suggestions are appreciated.

Whoa settle down there. First, I'm new to this BB myself. I think you probably read another thread in which I was "volunteering" my .02. Don't think that because I think he conducts business in a way that is respectable that I, #1. Endorse "his" product, #2. Know "him" personally and would have basis of "his" character, #3. What is the diff between your 99 and the 2002 ? Besides HP ? Or is it just the increased HP and torque ? Night and day better seems like a BIG difference. Can you specify please ? I have a 98 V-10, I've driven the newer V-10's. I actually thought my 98 was way more responsive and more powerful than the 2001 V-10 I drove. My V-10 is in a 2WD van, and I drove a 4X4 SC pick-up so maybe it's just the 4WD running gear and stuff that made it feel far less powerful and like the motor was wheezing. Ken 98 E-350 XLT (rollover ready) V-10 E4OD 15 passenger.

for my truck the use will be daily driving, im starting my own bussiness of the tree removal type, so ill have to tow the trailer, chipper, stump grinder or a bob cat + trailer, so ill need some extra towing power, but keep in mind i am young so ill need the Jap. car smoking power. i just love chewing up jap cars with a pickup. and of course added fuel economy always helps...

Sorry Monsta, I'm kinda getting used to dodging road signs and people on bikes with my mirrors. After seeing a few trucks around here in Denver with the "other" mirrors, I understand why you want a trade.

From a chip? No. You'll break even on fuel costs.

Actually I am quite partial to my mirrors. They work very well seeings how I do not tow anything 99% of the time!

 

You like those mirrors? Man I went from the tow mirrors to the same you have and I can't see crap behind me. What ever happened to objects may be smaller thing at least then you coud see. Poor dude in a "does it really matter what kind" it was a crappy little car just about got flattened.:-staun

I'd be curious as to why you changed then...Luckily, I am only going backward 1% of the time. Any other time, I really don't care about what's behind me.
