Can I swap a Borg Warner 1356 for a NP271? My truck has a 460 and e40d transmission. Will the np271 bolt directly to the e40d? Is the shifter linkage and 4x4 indicator adaptable to the 271? My 1356 is garbage. It wont shift into low range and while in 2 wheel drive the 4x4 indicator is on, but not in 4x4. I intend to put 40" tires on it and would like to go to a beafier T-Case. Any suggestions?

 

i would be more concerned about the e4od before the t-case anyday.
