Seriously productive day
Although I should have started on the backyard cleanup for the BBQ next weekend, I figured what the heck..why do today, what you can put off until tomorrow?
So, I finished clearing out a bunch of junk in the garage and made a buttload of room...pulled the '36 out and yanked the cab and bed, put the cab and the 5.0/AOD in the garage(the garage is atached to the back of the shop), backed the '36 chassis back into the shop put the bed of the '36 on the '31 and backed it in into the shop...now I can actually work on both on cement, and lower the door when the sun starts beating in.
It was getting old working on the dirt and in the sun, enough was enough.
STill don't have a lot of room on either side of both trucks, but have a plan for that coming soon

Mike, that was uncalled for. Here I am recovering from a hangover from my son's "going away party" last night. I had about 40 "20 somethings" here drinking beer bongs, playing poker, and shooting pool. My head still hurts and I can't find my TV remote.
In the mean time, my son has left it to me to sell his '95 Tbird (excellent price, BTW, if you know anyone looking), and I keep having to answer the phone and remain coherent talking to strangers. I'm working to sell it because he's packing the truck this weekend preparing to move to Iowa tomorrow. I'm gonna miss seeing my grandson frequently.
Before you ask. He is moving to Iowa because he can't afford to live in California. I bought him a house for $83,500 in a nice, old (1900), stable, neighborhood. He already has work, and he'll be on track toward getting his adult life in order. The house I bought is viewable at: http://keyre.com/details.asp?mls=7001449
Alligator tears at my son, daughter-in-law, and grandson moving away.

Truth be told, I completely passed on the beer bong thing, as much as the kids "encouraged me" (drink!, drink!, drink!). I did have a little bit to drink but decided to cash it in at about 2:00am. I learned my lesson on high volume consumption of alcohol while in college and learned that is not a good idea.
My son was doing a fine job of managing the crowd so I was comfortable at leaving the party to his control. He knows my rules and respects them. I'm really proud of how he can manage a party.

Well, let me make your hangover worse..I went back into the shop and started eyeballing some things and my 5YO came out to ask me what I was doing...told her I had to pull this frontend off (on the '36) and pointed over at all the Heidts parts and said "I have to put them in".
She said "So what are you waiting for?"
Grrrrr, so she grabbed her toolbox (little wooden utensil holder) and I grabbed some wrenches, she was scoooping up nuts and bolts as I was taking them off, and putting them in her box.
Bottom line, is the '36 now has no front end under it and is ready to yank the crossmember and and start boxing things up for the Heidts.

PSS...It's sooo nice to lay on clean concrete (this time of the year) with a cool breeze coming in and the lights on...sure beats a drop light laying in dirt!
Heck, I felt so good about things I didn't even use any air tools...just didn't seem right at the time
