I know about the K&N. I've been using them for about 7 years. Best filters I have ever used. I have the spray type oil so it's easier to evenly coat the ridges on the filter.

Ok.. So this is what I did:
Changed the Fuel Filter.
Changed the Oil plus Oil Filter (Of course).
Cleaned my K&N Air Filter.
Replaced my stock 4 year old battery w/ a Heavy Duty 850 CCA.
Added an Additive to my Fuel to remove moisture.
Instant change! Start-up is instant.. I've started the truck 5 times and no more shaking needles... So far, the problem was the battery as I was told by many of you. Also, no more diesel sound.. Thanks!

My '06 did the same "dash needle dance" and buzzed at the same time, a couple months ago. It still had the original build battery from AUG '05, so it had lasted a good while. I didn't know how slow it was cranking until I installed the new battery. The new battery cranks like the engine is about to jump out of the truck!
