need expert opinion please

i have a 1992 ford explorer. It recently ran hot on me and started running like crap. I checked the oil and sure enough there is water in it. It has cast iron heads on it so is it more likely that it blew the head gasket or is it possible it warped a head as well??? What do you think the likelihood of warping a cast iron head would be.... ANY help would be appriciated thanks!!!

Is it a 2.9? If it is, then I hate to say it, but they are prone to cracking heads..

no its actually the 4.0L OHV motor but I took the heads off and on the front cylinders on each head between the exhaust and intake valves there is a crack on each head... so im guessing these heads are bad about doing this??? so im getting new heads does anyone know where i can have them sent off to have some work done to them to raise my compression ratio and does anyone know where i can get a mutlilayer steel head gasket that is thinner than the stock head gasket??? THANKS!!!
