Any of you guys run seafoam?

I've used it before but not on this truck. Just thought it wouldn't hurt, I'm sure there's plenty of carbon in that motor. Was just going to run it through the brake booster line.

Just wondering if anybody has used it without complications?

I also read that if you haven't done it before it might be a good idea to swap out the plugs afterwards, any truth to that?

Thanks,
Mike

I've ran it in a few engines including my boat with no problems. I usually just trickle it in the carb for about a minute and increase until it floods, let it set for about five minutes then fire it up and fog up the subdivision. As far as the plugs go, I left mine as they weren't that old.

I've used it but don't think it does anything. I'd suggest just getting a motorvac done that uses much better cleaners.

Used seafoam on some old rigs- some in the tank, some in the crankcase, and then down the carb 'til she floods out. Let 'er sit 'bout 10 minutes, then proceed to kill off any mosquito in a 5 block radius. Newer rig I wouldn't do this to it- the motorvac FI/induction cleaning is the way to go (God knows what seaform would do to the O2 sensors and ECU. Seizure time, anyone?)

yep, 'bout half down the carb, while you keep it running, then the ofher half of the can to drown out the motor. Let sit about 15 min & fire it up. No Mosquitoes for a while...and the non automotive neighbors will love you

Great stuff. I use it in everything at my house. Expecially small engines, even the two cycles.

Good Product. I have used in in everthing that I have - including my newer cars. No problems with the O2 sensors or anything else.

Forgive me if I sound like a morn but how can you tell when it's flooded out? Or do you have the engine runnin while you put it down the carb? in that case it'd be kinda obvious wouldnt it?

Yes, the engine should be running.

Either there wasn't as much carbon build-up as you thought or she needs another dose. Did you let it set for about 5 min. after it stalled?

Over on the Rover forums they talk about needing it done many times a year.
I have seen many of these aluminum motors that owners have sucked it into the intake then added to the crank case as a was told "a must do item". A 50,000 mile motor looked like 250,000 miles in bore wear, rods and mains down into the brass besides muffler shops like this product as they get to replace the coated and destroyed catalytic converters. They claim no damage, tell it to a $1,447 bill for a BMW owner that had a catalytic converter replaced after the use of said product.
A properly tuned, driven and maintained motor does not need this. JMO's from what I have seen at the Rover dealer and local muffler shop hang outs.
I know i;ll get hammered because it says on the bottle no harm, I also believe in Santa.

I've used it with no ill effects.
I used it on my bronco, and it lowered the RPMs, and gave better mileage(2 or so, but it wasn't to well maintained by the previous owner).

I've used it in newer trucks and nothing wrong with the cats.

Earlier someone said to put a whole can. I would not do this. I talked to someone that put a whole can in at one time and seized his motor. Half a can in the intake, and the other half in the gas tank.
