yeah, they had a great selection. Enough for me to drool over and not enough to make me think my truck is too common

great pics, thanks a lot, as I looked through them it looks like the only color for a 56 is red, then there is always black, or yellow,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

Thansk for sharing.

Fatfenders56: That is why I want just about any other color besides red. Too many of them, even if mine is red from the factory.

I just got back from Reno today around 2pm. My wife and I went up on Thursday afternoon. It was our first time. Didn't know what to expect. It's definitely the biggest car show on the West Coast. I loved the Friday night cruise down Virginia St. I also liked the big-rigs that cruised after the cars. It's amazing what these guys do to the big-rigs.

I was a little disappointed, though, with the extremely low turn out of Bonus Built trucks, and Ford trucks for that matter. The pictures you see above is a good 80% of Ford trucks that were there. There was maybe another one or two Bonus Built trucks, but that's about it.

I also spoke with the Hot August Nights even staff to find out how to get my cars displayed at the show next year. They told me that there's a waiting list that's approximately 2,000 cars long and would take 2-4 years to get it. My response to them was to limit the 57 Chevys as every other car there was a 57 Chevy or a tri-five Chevy just painted a different color. The staff actually had a good long laugh about my comment and kind of agreed.

Nonetheless, we had a great time at the swap meet and at the different car shows at the different casinos.

Thanks for the photos! My family had a 56, light blue with dual stacks. We kinda ran it into the ground through five kids learning to drive. Lotsa memories. Good to see the beautiful restoral jobs that many enthusiasts can do so the rest of us can admire them. Ahh the memories!! Jim

there's a tiny box right above the pics that says (1-16), click on the down arrow next to it and select (show all)
