Carb Rebuild

Are all the carbs on the 460's from the 80's box trucks and pick-ups the same? I know it is a factory carb. I would like to get a rebuild kit for it. Also are they all 600 CFM? Thanks

They are Holley 4180, 600 CFM emissions carbs built by Holley for Ford. The 460's carbs are the same but there were models for other engines also.

You are better off replacing it with an Edelbrock/Carter than fixing that old Holly. If it is a high-mileage unit, the throttle shaft is probably worn, and well, that's a vacuum leak that can't be fixed.

If you are gonna replace the carb, replace it with a Holley 1850 series carb. Why created a monster with a carb design older than the Holley.
