a 5.4L for a '56?

Does anyone know if I could shoehorn in a blown 5.4L V-8 and transmission between the framerails of a '56 ford f100? I have come across one and i thought it would be a radical motor for my street rod project. If I could, is there anyway to find motor mounts. I would imagine i'd have to fabricate them though. Thanks a lot.

I'd start by measuring everything, then if it still looks like it will work do a test fit and crawl all over it to see what it's going to take to fabricate/adapt the mounts. I was able to put a slant six (Dodge) in my F100 this way.
