Hi, I need to know how to get around the governor on a 1998 F-150 5.4L V8 engine. Don't want to get another chip, but there must be SOME way around that's reliable and won't cause problems... Anyone know how?

 

It's a Triton V8, forgot to mention that. Sorry.

 

The only way is with a chip....2 come to mind. Diablo and Superchips. Both have their advantages. Can't remember exactly, but one doesn't get rid of the set speed governor, I think the Diablo. The Superchip gets rid of the governor, but it doesn't install clean, you need to tape it in with electrical tape, whereas the Diablo fits in nice without tape but doesn't remove the governor setting.
