not here, mine is 110 %,been following all the issue's with bad air condtioning, bad tran's,bad brake's that pull to the left, bad this, that and the other thing's,as i said in a post before, this is the 1'st time in 34 year's we bought used and an enterprise rental return no less and it's been flawless, the oasis only showed a seat bilt buckel fix, dinger would not go off, and a bad battery, oasis showed no other work being done,we drove one other used expy and the tire's vibrated and would not balance, went to an other dealer and he had two on the lot,we took this one for a drive and it was out of gas so i put $10.00 in the tank and drove it for an hour, they thought we stole it we were gone so long, they gave us a free 100.000 mile/nov 2012 power train coverage so we think we are safe,is every one else having problem's or are the the one's having good luck just not posting here???,did you all drive the new truck before you bought it and did it do what's doing now then, bad programing would be from the get go and not start after you have had the truck for a time, just wondering what happened.

yes i test drove the truck before i purchased it. I took it back to the dealer within the few days of purchasing with the same problems i am having now. They perform an update, and it works for a little while, but everytime it gradually gets worse, worse enough for me to take it in the get fixed. Its pretty embarrasing when I am driving my clients to lunch in a brand new 40K vehicle, and the transmission jolts everyone in the truck forward. It's ridiculous. I drive quite a bit and i have around 7500 miles on the truck and I can honestly say it shift funny probably 65% of the time. Maybe Monday it will permanently get fixed.

When does it shift funny? After accelerating from a rolling stop?

shifts funny from a dead stop, rolling stop, and sometimes when driving, and when slowing to a stop

When I am slowing down to stop, say at a red light, before I come to a complete stop it jolts the gears, sounds as if switch from 3rd gear to 1st and skipping the second.

Then other times when I am accelerating it doesnt shift properly or efficiently. The engine gives off a roaring sound, similar to if you had a manual and waited till redline to shift everytime, but the funny thing is that the RPm's are only showing to be around 2000-2500. There is either a problem with the transmission or with the electronics. I am guessing the electronics, because it doesnt do it all the time.

Carbon M, I think I am seeing some of what you are talking about. Under "normal" conditions from a stop sign, the transmission (It does now after the latest transmission reprogram) starts out in 1st with a light throttle to about 1500 in all gears to 3 rd and can't tell what gear it is in after 3rd but seems OK to about 40+ mph.

But if you take off from a stop about half throttle, 1st shifts out about 3000, but 2nd shifts out about 5000+, 3rd about 3000 - 3500 then all other gears 3000 to 2500.
Under a full throttle start about the same.

Seems like only second gear for some reason wants to go to 5000 or more. Letting off the throttle a little in second thinking that it would shift to third does not seem to help much, so you have to let way off the throttle, then it shifts to third, under a half or full throttle start or let it shift itself out of 2nd at 4500-5000.

Why does 2nd need to shift out at 4500-5000 on a heavy throttle start when the other gears sfift out by 2500-3000?
Ford only knows. (or don't know)

I really don't notice this as watching the road and with the radio on, so I was not watching the tach much until now.
May be this is a gas saving feature to keep a lighter right foot. So I just get in the habit of starting out through 1st and 2nd with a lighter throttle and then give it the gas in third if you need to get going other wise it is going to go to about 5000 in second.

I have learned to live with it, and have not taken it back to the dealer yet as it is working so much better now than it was before the last reprogram.
Before the last transmission reprogram it kept trying to take off from a stop in second gear, then down shift to low, causing a jump from a stop light.

Sometimes they can fix one problem and then cause two new ones, so for now I am holding off going to the dealer unless it gets worse and it does still get me from point A to point B. (only 600 miles on it)
It gets confused sometimes on a forced down shift, but it is not really a problem as you just let it do it's thing until it decides what gear it wants, then gets going.

I don't notice a problem coming to a stop. But I will say that after the last transmission reprogram the idle speed seems a little higher, but has not caused a problem yet.

I really miss my old 5.8 94 Bronco, shifted flawless for 100,000+ miles.

What I notice is coming to a slow stop. Just before I stop I feel the tranny bump into 1st. Sometimes while taking off from a roll, it starts out in what I assume is 3rd, then shifts back into I guess 2nd. Not a huge problem. No big clunks or shutter.

not yet, but i am just curious what this is doing to the life of the transmission. I plan on keeping this truck to at least 100K, and dont really want to be replacing a transmission anytime soon.

Mine used to try and take off in 2nd or 3rd if I did not come to a complete stop, slowing down to 5 miles or less per hour. Now it downshifts a little cleaner, but will stumble from time to time, depending how slow I'm going before deciding to accelerate again.

I had the computer reflashed back in June by Ford and have to admit that it is an improvement, but not as good as I would like it to be.

I wonder if a good old vacuum operated transmission governor could be installed on one of these trannies. They only gave us problems after 100 thousand or so miles with the original factory fill transmission fluid, and sometimes not even then......
