Hello, I purchased a 2001 Expedition last week with the 5.4 L Engine. I was wondering what aftermarket exhaust people like running on these engines. I don't want to shake the windows, just a little more rumple than stock with a better flow.

I just installed the flowmaster kit on my 2000 xp 5.4. I was a little concerned that it might too loud inside, but it sounds great. It provided a good rumble on the exterior with just a slight increase on the inside. It feels like the kit might have given it a little more power, but I don't have enough miles on it to tell for sure. The flowmaster kit is definitely a vast improvement over the stock exhaust.

[updated:LAST EDITED ON 01-May-02 AT 05:55 PM (EST)]I would also recommend a flowmaster. I didn't buy a kit but just the muffler. I went with the 3 chamber. It is definitely not too loud. The sound is great.

 

Thanks for the posts. On the flowmaster kit is that a full cat-back system? Single exhaust or dual?
