i have a 97 fi50 with 5.4, it idles real rough. the scan says p1152 lack of ho2s21 switch sensor indicator rich. i was told to replace the driver side front o2 sensor. i did that disconected the battery cable to reset. the check engine light went off but the truck still idles rough. what could be the prolem? i did notice the catalitic convertor on that side makes a rattling noise,can anyone help?

I would change both 02 sensors,and chk the plugs ,if they haven't already been changed! sometimes the vehicle has to be driven a while for the computer to relearn the inputs from sensors.
after changing the 02 sensor and restting did you scan for codes again?

i didnt scan for codes again because the check light has not came on again yet. thanks for the info.
