Does a K&N FIPK Void my warranty? 1999 Exp. 5.4L)

I have 1999 Expedition and put in a K&N FIPK intake on it about 6 months ago. Now I've got something funny going on with the idle and my idiot light came on. I know enough that this problem is completely unrelated to the intake, but I'm paranoid that the dealer is going to refuse the warranty repairs. Anybody have any experience with this? Should I put the OEM intake back on before I take the truck in?

K/N's have been known to screw up the mass air flow sensor because of the
oil impregnated filter.it gets the oil on the little wire causes problems like your describing.
void your warranty no,but they may try and sell you a new mass airflow
when all it needs is cleaned.

Me personally would clean the maf see if it clears up your problem.
also get the dtc codes that are being posted using a scanner.
