Anyone ever change this red hose without taking water pump off?

Not on a 460, but I have on a 390. It's very similar on a 390 and it was not that bad. But for sure you'd want to hear from someone who's done the 460. Good Luck!

It looks like the pump was done in the truck, and I dont feel like changing what isnt broken. I may try to change it. Ill get a new pump just in case I have to remove it anyway.

Did on my 460. Not a big deal, just make sure to get the length right.

It is easy. just cut the old hose off and cut the new hose to the EXACT length you need. Then fold the hose in half and start it on bolt nipples at the same time and push on the bend. it will slid on both nipples perfect

Or more like designed to be changed by a dealer so they can charge you a bunch of money for it.

I got it changed in like 10 min, only to take the water pump off to change the 90* lower rad hose to oil cooler since I cut it off, and couldn't get the new one in. Also did my all aluminum radiator also.

Pulling the oil cooler would of been MUCH easier

I didnt have or could get the oil cooler gaskets that night. So for the price of a water pump, and now I know I wont have to do it in the future. Water pump was mega easy so it wasnt so bad.
