Forgot ONE bolt in Valve body-big deal?

I removed my accumulator valve body today to install some TransGo springs and valves. After I had it all back together with fluid in it I noticed a valve body bolt on the bench. Is it a big deal to not put the bolt in? I will drop the pan and put it in later, I was just curious if there's a reason I can't just forgo it right now.

It's only a big deal if you take the truck out of park. As long as you don't try to move it it's not a big deal.

It is possible that it won't cause a problem, but it's more likely that it is going to cause a leak from one hydraulic circuit to another. This can cause one or more clutches to slip, and that means a rebuild.

Well, it's a little late for that advice, I already took it out for a 10 minute jaunt thru town. 1st to 2d is definitely "crisp", thanks to the new valve and springs. I didn't notice anything amiss, but I will drop the pan tomorrow and replace that bolt just to be safe.

Yep, that's your best course of action.

Did you have to ream out any holes or was it just a spring/valve change? I passed on transgo because I didn't want to do all that work.

No reaming involved, but there was a couple small holes I needed to drill in the vb casting. Also, it came with a calibration plate that goes between the vb and the gasket, that had several holes I needed to resize. Altogether, a pretty simple procedure, I was just hesitant since I've never done it before. Now that I have, I would definitely do it again. BTW, I have a bunch of parts left that go in the main vb, I will sell if anyone's interested.
