Lowering a 78 F-100
I was wondering if anyone has attempted this. I don't know if I want to lower the truck a whole three inches with the I-beams that are on the market. I just want lower two inches with the lowering springs. If I do this will it screw the whole suspension up and put a wierd wear on the tires? Or is this just a No, No!
Thanks

First of all look at the way F series are engineered. Any time you raise or lower the front end it's going to throw the camber off and it's going to have to be realigned. This is done by bending the I-Beams, and it's not cheap - if you can find a place to do it.
Next, you can lower by getting a set of spring clamps which can be used for raising or lowering depending which way they're put on. If you want to make it permanent you can do so by cutting one complete coil at a time off of the top of the spring. When you start doing this though you're going to run into clearance problems with the front snubbers, which don't have a whole lot of clearance to begin with.
