What's new in '08

Is anybody has info what Ford changed in '08? Is there any chance to get 6 speed auto?

UGA33 is starting off with a positive reputation.
A ton. New 6.4L Powerstroke with twin turbos and common rail fuel injection. New front ends and interiors. The 5 speed torqshift is back, but if you want to get techincal, the torqshift is a 6 speed automatic. There are 6 foward gears but it only uses a series of five. Check out fords website. There is some good stuff.

Way too much to list here. I would say go test drive one and just check out all the goodies.

handyman43358 is gaining momentum as a positive member of FTE.
That whole "6 speed" deal with Chevy's and the Allison threw me off a little. That should mean there should be 6 RPM drops while accelerating, because of the torque converter locking up(1-2, 2-3, 3-4, 4-5, 5-6, TC lockup.) Any one I've ever ridden in has had a total of 4 gear changes, plus the torque converter lockup(1-2, 2-3, 3-4, 4-5, TC lockup.) I think the Torqshift is probably setup the same way. There's a LOT of people out there who confuse the "Overdrive" gear with the torque converter locking up and vice versa, and a lot of people who think the TC lockup IS another "gear" in the transmission.

But like SouthTexas said, wayyy too much to list here. Go test drive an 06, and then test drive the 08. Things will start to become pretty obvious, and chances are you'll be hooked.
